Prattware Vintage Ironstone Syrup Pitcher
Pratt Prattware Ironstone Syrup Pitcher with Bacchanalian print.
Each side displays Puttis at play during the harvest and the consumption of the grapes.
The pitcher has a fabulous moulded applied handle attached to a perfect body with an ornate pewter covered lid (hallmarked) with lots of patina and love!
Made in circa 1850 - 1860.
Measurements: Approx. 19cm high
This piece has a stamp on the bottom that is hard to make out but looks like " AP" or something similar. It was made by Pratt & Co from Fenton in the Staffordshire region of England, a pottery manufactory well known for its multi-color transfer printed pottery.
Condition is very loved and is crazed and stained with lots of love and patina. I''ve never seen this kind of syrup pitcher ever before and it''s definitely one of a kind for those who love ironstone and antiques and vintage.
